Teaching methods

Our teaching is also derived from ‘Piaget’s Theory’ which illustrates that children construct an understanding of the world around them, then experience discrepancies between they already know and what discover in their surroundings. Using active and collaborative methods help children to learn in a better way.

Field Learning

  • Outdoor free play and regular contact with the natural world. When children play in the natural environment, their play is more diverse
  • Exposure to natural environment improve children’s cognitive development by improving their awareness, reasoning, observational skills.

Moral Values and Story-Telling

Fairness, acting in a just way, sharing appropriately; Generosity, the willingness to give resources, help to others; and Honesty, being truthful and sincere; are qualities which we try to inculcate within our children everyday through story-telling exercises and other media resources.

Creative Art and Aesthetic Development

Through creative art and aesthetic development, children may be able to represent experiences that they cannot verbalize. At Donald Duck, we encourage children to express themselves and to interpret their feelings through the intuitive enjoyment of art.

The school and teachers dedicate a considerable resources on music, dance and drama as these do not only help in the development of the physical wellbeing of the child but also develops the cognitive attitude. Physical Education

High quality physical education programs develop children’s physical fitness abilities. Classes should build on previous learning.  Through physical education, children get to enjoy a  variety of physical activities both competitive and non-competitive. A high quality program also emphasizes opportunities for students to assume leadership, teamwork with others, build confidence together while having fun.

Cookery Classes

Nutrition is an important part of our everyday life and being able to prepare your own meal do not always make you independent but also contribute in building up a healthy lifestyle. To help children to be involved in the correct choice of nutrition and develop an interest in cooking, we provide basic booking classes to our children for 4 years and above.
